The Senator representing Anambra South senatorial district, Andy Uba has declared his intention to run for the senatorial seat in the 2019 elections.

Uba made the declaration on Friday while meeting with stakeholders and party leaders from the seven local government areas that constitute the senatorial zone.

While making the declaration, the senator highlighted his major achievements in the Senate, stressing that he had given his people good representation through bills, motions and constituency projects by him.

He admitted that there were still other issues that were yet to be addressed, promising that he would work assiduously to meet more of their demands.

He urged the stakeholders to ensure his election, stating that as a ranking senator he would do more if he is reelected.

Responding, one of the constituents, Chief Chris Ekwilo commended the senator for his forthrightness and good works.

He specifically commended Sen. Uba for calling regular meetings with his constituents, stressing that it showed genuine love his job and sincerity of purpose.

He thanked the senator for his honesty and for a job well-done in Anambra South senatorial district.

He also assured the senator of the peoples’ support at the polls.
