Chelsea vs Cardiff City: Michael Owen predicts result

Former Liverpool and Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen, has tipped Chelsea to defeat Cardiff City in Saturday’s Premier League fixture.

Owen expects the Blues to maintain their perfect starts to the new English topflight competition by beating Neil Warnock’s side at Stamford.

Chelsea head to the game following a 2-0 victory against Bournemouth in their last EPL encounter.

Cardiff on the other hand, head to the game after a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal in their last EPL game.

Speaking in an interview with BetVictor, Owen said: “Chelsea’s perfect start to the season is likely to be maintained on Saturday against a Cardiff side without a win in six in all competitions.

“The Bluebirds did well to reach the top-flight, but the truth is they look set for a quick return and it is likely to be a long afternoon for Neil Warnock’s side at the Bridge.”

The kick-off time for the match is 3pm
