Conte’s brother speaks on former Chelsea coach getting calls from Real Madrid
Daniele Conte, brother to former Chelsea boss, Antonio Conte, says his elder brother has not received any calls from Real Madrid, amid reports of interest in him from the Spanish giants.
He, however, insisted that the Los Blancos have not contacted the 49-year-old Italian gaffer, who is currently on holiday.
Recall that Conte was two weeks ago among the two coaches who were shortlisted for Madrid job to replace current manager, Julen Lopetegui.
“Antonio is on holiday, he has not received any calls from Real Madrid,” Daniele told Cadena SER.
“Yes, Real Madrid is a great team but there has been no contact.”
Conte was sacked by Chelsea last summer and replaced with Italian compatriot, Maurizio Sarri.
He won the Premier League title in his first season at Stamford Bridge and also the FA Cup in his last season with the West London club.
