EPL: Mourinho does not trust Rashford – Rio Ferdinand
Former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand, claims Marcus Rashford does not have Jose Mourinho’s complete faith.
Ferdinand, a Champions League winner with the Old Trafford side, believes the young England striker needs a regular place in the United attack.
The former United-star-turned BT Sport pundit said: “I look at it from Rashford’s point of view.
“If I am sitting there as Marcus Rashford and someone says to me, ‘Do you think your manager believes in you as his main, best striker and that he will build his team around you?’ I would say, ‘No. Because I am not starting every game.’
“You ask any player. Coming on as a sub — that means nothing.”
Rashford is expected to feature in United’s Champions League trip to Swiss side Young Boys on Wednesday.
