Osinbajo, Ganduje, Ooni, others storm Ibadan, extol Alaafin’s virtues as monarch celebrates 80th birthday [PHOTOS]

Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinabjo, Governor Umar Ganduje of Kano State and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi were among the dignitaries who on Saturday in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital extolled the virtues of Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Adeyemi 111.

They were in the state to join the monarch who celebrated his 80 birthday anniversary.

DAILY POST reports that the 80th birthday ceremony was the grand finale of the weeklong birthday anniversary of the monarch who turned 80 earlier this week.

Other dignitaries who poured encomium on the monarch at the event held at the International Conference Centre of the University of Ibadan, included: former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Senator Godswill Akpabio, Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the state and Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudasiru Obasa.

Others are: People’s Democratic Party (PDP), gubernatorial candidate in the state, Engineer Seyi Makinde, captains of industry, politicians, traditional rulers among others.

The Vice President and other dignitaries at the event all extolled the virtues of the monarch whom they described as a man of many parts.
